Quick Overview

As the Scourge spread through the ruins of Lordaeron, the Argent Dawn built a resistance that welcomed allies from both sides of the faction divide. Its agents held positions near the Plaguelands and Light's Hope Chapel, confronting plague and undead threats with discipline rather than indiscriminate hatred. This commitment separated the order from the Scarlet Crusade's growing fanaticism. The Dawn represented cooperation against a common danger even as the old northern kingdom remained shattered.

Full History

The Argent Dawn is an anti-Scourge order that works across the Alliance–Horde divide rather than acting as a national army. Its central concern in the original world is the destruction and study of the undead threat, especially the plague and Scourge presence in Lordaeron. The order's broader recruitment contrasts with the Scarlet Crusade's exclusionary and increasingly fanatical approach.

The order's presence connects the western approaches to the Plaguelands, Light's Hope Chapel in the east, and contacts near Tirisfal. Figures such as Argent Officer Garush, Hasana, Pureheart, and Lord Maxwell Tyrosus represent the network of personnel, supply, and resistance behind the faction. Original-era quest contacts also connect the Dawn with the dangers of Stratholme and adjacent territories.

As a separate original-world order, the Dawn continues to confront the Scourge rather than serve as a political arm of either the Horde or the Alliance. Original quests describe threats and offered missions, not a canonical record that a particular player has defeated every enemy.
