Full History
Kul Tiras entered the Second War as one of the great maritime powers of the human kingdoms. When the Horde attacked coastal settlements and shipping, Admiral Daelin Proudmoore recognized a danger that inland rulers could not meet with armies alone. He committed his fleet to the Alliance of Lordaeron, giving the coalition a means to challenge enemy movement across the seas.
The Alliance's eventual victory did not end Kul Tiras's bitterness toward the orcs. Daelin carried the memory of the war into the years that followed, unable to accept that a new generation of orcs might seek a different life. After the Burning Legion's defeat at Mount Hyjal, he sailed to Kalimdor and attacked Thrall's settlement in Durotar, believing he was acting before a familiar threat could rise again.
The campaign ended in Daelin's death after Jaina refused to support his assault on the New Horde. Kul Tiras's history in those years binds two generations of conflict: a navy that helped defend the Alliance against conquest, and an admiral whose determination to prevent another war helped start one.
