Chen Stormstout

Full History

Chen Stormstout traveled by choice, following the interests of a wandering brewmaster rather than the demands of a king or war chief. His journey brought him to Kalimdor just as Thrall's orcs struggled to establish Durotar. The land was unfamiliar even to many of its new settlers, and their alliances with tauren and Darkspear trolls were still taking shape. Chen's curiosity drew him into this unsettled world and into the company of Rexxar, a half-ogre wanderer who had agreed to help Thrall.

Their travels carried them across settlements and dangerous wilderness as they sought to protect the fledgling Horde. Chen was no general commanding battalions. He contributed through the strength and resourcefulness of a companion willing to stand beside others whose histories and peoples differed from his own. The party's adventures grew more dangerous as human forces from Kul Tiras escalated hostilities around Theramore and Durotar.

Chen remained among those who helped Rexxar confront the threat posed by Admiral Daelin Proudmoore. The fighting revealed how the wounds of the earlier wars could outlive the soldiers who had fought them. To Chen, the journey was an encounter with peoples trying to find a place in a changed world; to the new Horde, his aid was part of the coalition that kept its homeland from being destroyed before it could take root.
