Full History

Daelin Proudmoore commanded the naval power of Kul Tiras, a kingdom whose fleets became vital to the Alliance of Lordaeron. The orcs threatened not only land borders but the seas connecting kingdoms and trading routes. Kul Tiran support gave the alliance a stronger answer on the water. Its commitment reflected the danger that a conquering Horde posed to maritime powers as well as inland crowns.

The Second War demanded coordination among different kinds of forces. Armies from Lordaeron and Stromgarde were needed on land, while dwarven craft and elven service broadened the coalition's resources. Daelin's navy contributed a strength that not every human state could supply. The manual establishes his leadership and his realm's maritime role without supplying a separate named battle for every vessel under his command.

Daelin would later appear in Kalimdor in the Frozen Throne campaign, carrying his hostility toward the Horde into the period of Thrall's settlement. That later confrontation helps show how the Second War shaped him, but must not be invented as part of his earlier fleet's operations. Kul Tiras's first significance in this chapter is clear: it made the defense of the northern kingdoms possible across the seas as well as the roads.
