Full History
Solliden Farmstead belonged to the agricultural country that sustained Lordaeron before the Third War. While plague and war destroyed much of Tirisfal, a pocket of living farmers remained west of Brill. Their survival did not bring peace. The Scarlet Crusade held nearby positions, while the newly freed undead regarded the living occupants of the old kingdom with profound suspicion.
For the Forsaken, the farm posed a political question as much as an economic one. Undercity claimed Tirisfal as the homeland of those who had once lived and died there, but the farmers had survived the fall of the kingdom without joining Sylvanas's cause. Deathguard Simmer treated them as enemies rather than harmless neighbors. The Scarlet Crusade's hostility to the undead deepened the divide, making even a field of pumpkins part of a struggle over who belonged in Lordaeron.
The Royal Apothecary Society also coveted the farm's crops for its experiments. Apothecary Johaan sought materials from the fields as the Forsaken developed their own research into plague and alchemy. At Solliden, ordinary cultivation was drawn into competing visions of the kingdom's future: surviving humans sought to hold their land, while the Forsaken fought to establish control over the ruins of their former home.
