Full History
Coldridge Valley belonged to the heartland the Bronzebeard dwarves defended through the War of the Three Hammers. After High King Anvilmar died, the three great clans fought for Ironforge. Madoran Bronzebeard's victory left his people in possession of the mountain and its surrounding lands, while the Wildhammers and Dark Irons built new kingdoms beyond them.
The triumph did not bring lasting security. Thaurissan's Dark Irons returned in a powerful invasion, threatening the mountain once more. The Bronzebeards rallied to drive the attackers south, and the disaster that followed Thaurissan's summoning of Ragnaros left the clan with dangerous enemies in the newly formed Blackrock Mountain.
In the generations after those wars, the dwarves maintained communities throughout Dun Morogh and continued the crafts and mining traditions for which they were known. Their young inherited a land made secure by old victories but shaped by unresolved clan rivalries. Coldridge's place in that story is as part of the Bronzebeards' surviving homeland, not a battlefield whose separate founding is known in detail.
