Full History
Camp Mojache developed as a tauren station in Feralas, far from the grasslands of Mulgore. Its founding followed the alliance between Cairne Bloodhoof and Thrall, which offered the Shu'halo a better chance to defend settlements beyond their traditional routes. Where their earlier migrations had often been dictated by centaur attacks, the new order allowed tauren bands to maintain connections with distant regions.
Feralas was no empty refuge. Ancient Highborne ruins stood among thick forests, while ogres and other powers contested roads and sacred places. A settlement there had to support scouts and travelers whose journeys crossed lands beyond the easy reach of Thunder Bluff. The camp became a southern link in the wider network of communities that the New Horde was beginning to build.
The historical change was political as much as geographical. A people repeatedly driven from one campsite to another could now plan for guarded routes and enduring outposts. Camp Mojache arose from that new confidence, without erasing the older tauren reliance on hunting, the Earth Mother and the counsel of their tribal leaders.
