Malorne was an ancient demigod whose presence inspired the defenders of Kalimdor during the War of the Ancients. When the Burning Legion invaded through the Well of Eternity, he joined Cenarius and the other guardians opposing the demons. Malorne fell in battle with Archimonde while protecting his son. His sacrifice formed part of the terrible price paid to keep Sargeras from entering Azeroth.
The original-era novels include demigods such as Cenarius, Malorne, Aviana, Ursoc and Ursol in the war against the Legion. The demigod Malorne is killed in combat with Archimonde while protecting Cenarius during the ancient war.
