Full History
Kilrogg Deadeye commanded the Bleeding Hollow, one of the most formidable clans to follow the Horde through the Dark Portal. Long before the orcs' invasion ended in defeat, the clan had earned a reputation for surviving desperate campaigns and for treating endurance as a warrior's duty. Kilrogg's authority gave the clan a recognizable identity within an army whose competing chieftains rarely agreed on more than conquest.
During the Second War, the Bleeding Hollow fought beside the Blackrock clan and was entrusted with protecting the Horde's operations in occupied Khaz Modan. These were not ceremonial duties. The Horde relied upon conquered lands for the supplies needed to keep its armies moving north, and defending those holdings drew experienced warriors away from the great battles. The Bleeding Hollow's allegiance to Orgrim Doomhammer therefore carried an important military cost as well as prestige.
The Alliance's victory broke the Horde's hold on the Eastern Kingdoms, but Kilrogg did not disappear with its defeated armies. He escaped captivity and returned to Draenor, where Ner'zhul gathered the remaining orc clans for a final attempt to open new passages between worlds. The Bleeding Hollow's history joined the two wars: service in the first invasion, stubborn resistance in the second, and an ultimately desperate return to the homeland from which the Horde had marched.
