The original account places the Guardians’ secret meetings in Tirisfal Glades, from which their order took its name. ” That account follows King Thoradin as its main perspective. Thoradin's unification creates a human power capable of challenging the trolls. The Troll Wars accelerate human arcane learning, Dalaran and the Council of Tirisfal. King Thoradin forges Arathor and makes Strom its capital. Human armies aid the elves against the Amani, learning arcane magic in exchange. Human wizardry flourishes after the Troll Wars; demons begin to exploit irresponsible spellcasting.
The original-era reading also carries this qualification: The order’s local meeting place is sourced; unnamed first attendees must not be invented.
The Council of Tirisfal adopted its name from the glades where early human and high-elven magi secretly met to confront demons. Its foundation comes ages after the battle in the retrospective Tyr history and after the older troll civilizations had established their own powers. The similarity of the names commemorates a place, not membership in Tyr’s guard or involvement in the Aqir–Troll War.
