Full History
Rexxar found the mortally wounded orc Mogrin and carried his report to Thrall during the Horde's early settlement in Durotar. The errand drew the wandering Beastmaster into the affairs of a people struggling to establish a permanent home. One dying messenger opened a path toward service in the new Horde's defense.
Thrall's settlement faced dangers that could not all be recognized from inside Orgrimmar. Scouts and travelers brought word from the Barrens, where old enemies, uncertain allies, and difficult terrain complicated the building of a new society. Mogrin's fate made clear that communication itself carried risks. Rexxar chose to deliver the message, placing himself in contact with the warchief and the growing political order in Durotar.
His involvement developed into wider work with Rokhan and other companions, including aid to Cairne and the defense against Daelin Proudmoore. Mogrin's report is significant as the beginning of that chain rather than as a major battle in its own right. It shows how the founding of Orgrimmar depended on messengers and wanderers as well as chiefs, warriors, and city walls.
