Quick Overview

Ambermill grew within the northern human lands that were devastated by the Scourge during the Third War. Dalaran, the great city of the Kirin Tor, had itself fallen to Arthas and the Burning Legion's forces. Silverpine therefore became a place where rival survivors of the same catastrophe could see each other as enemies.

Full History

Ambermill grew within the northern human lands that were devastated by the Scourge during the Third War. The fall of Lordaeron shattered the old royal authority, but it did not sweep away every settlement at once. Communities and surviving spellcasters in Silverpine continued to struggle with the consequences of the plague and the rise of the undead.

Dalaran, the great city of the Kirin Tor, had itself fallen to Arthas and the Burning Legion's forces. Its mages and followers were scattered, and their attempts to endure took many forms. Ambermill became associated with those who retained loyalties to the old human order and regarded the new Forsaken presence with hostility.

Its history belongs to a divided land. Lordaeron's living inhabitants had not all vanished, while Sylvanas Windrunner's Forsaken sought security after breaking free of the Lich King's control. Silverpine therefore became a place where rival survivors of the same catastrophe could see each other as enemies. Ambermill's story is part of that conflict rather than a separate kingdom's rise or fall.
