Full History

Kalecgos belonged to the blue dragonflight, whose ancient charge was the care of magic. The flight carried a long wound from Deathwing's betrayal during the War of the Ancients, when the Dragon Soul devastated the dragons who had trusted their fellow Aspect. Its survivors guarded their knowledge while the mortal world continued to fight over magical power.

Kalecgos became involved with the struggle surrounding the Sunwell after the Scourge had ruined Quel'Thalas. The fate of that corrupted font of magic drew dragons and elves into conflict with forces seeking to use its remnants. His path crossed that of Anveena, whose importance was far greater than her outward life suggested, and of Tyrygosa and the human paladin Jorad Mace.

The danger was not simply that an enemy might seize a powerful object. The Sunwell's legacy had become entangled with the survival of a shattered elven nation and the ambitions of those who would exploit its strength. Kalecgos's role brought the blue flight into a crisis that joined its oldest duty—the protection of magic—to the immediate suffering of mortals who had lost their home.
