Full History
Zuluhed's Dragonmaw clan gained terrible importance when it helped subjugate Alexstrasza during the Second War. The Dragonqueen was held at Grim Batol and her offspring raised for the Horde's armies. Her captivity made possible a force of dragon riders whose power few ordinary soldiers could resist. Behind that military advantage stood coercion directed at one of Azeroth's ancient guardians.
The original Warcraft II manual identifies Zuluhed as the Dragonmaw's leader and describes the magical methods used against the red flight. It also credits Rend and Maim with planning the capture, showing how the endeavor connected different groups inside the Horde. The Dragonmaw guarded the Queen and controlled her young through their Roosts, destroying dragons that grew too powerful to handle. Their use of the brood was not consent, nor evidence that the red dragons had chosen the orcish cause.
At the Second War stage of the story, Alexstrasza's captivity is an ongoing condition. Day of the Dragon later chronicles her liberation and the destruction of the Demon Soul. Those events belong to a subsequent chapter rather than being folded into the original Warcraft II description of the Roost. Zuluhed's importance lies in how clan loyalty and magical domination became weapons against a guardian whose ancient duty was life.
