Full History
Rhonin, Krasus, and the orc veteran Broxigar were drawn from their own age into the ancient War of the Ancients. They arrived in a world whose catastrophe lay thousands of years before their lives, yet whose consequences had shaped every kingdom they knew. Their presence became part of the resistance's struggle against Azshara's court and the Burning Legion.
The travelers carried knowledge and experience from a world scarred by the Third War. Krasus knew the dragonflights and their history, Rhonin was an accomplished human mage, and Broxigar was a warrior of the Horde. None belonged naturally among the kaldorei of the old empire. As they became involved with those fighting the invasion, their different origins brought the later history of Azeroth into direct contact with its most famous ancient disaster.
The original War of the Ancients novels follow their participation alongside Malfurion, Tyrande, Illidan, and the resistance. Their arrival is significant because the novels tell more than a simple retelling of a long-past battle: they trace how individuals from a changed world affected an earlier crisis. The broad outcome remains the Sundering and the failure of the Legion's attempt to bring Sargeras bodily into Azeroth.
