Full History
Tyr's Hand belonged to the eastern lands of Lordaeron before the Scourge tore the human kingdom apart. The villages and strongholds of the region were tied to the same royal order and Church of the Holy Light that supported the Knights of the Silver Hand. When undead armies advanced and the old institutions collapsed, their defenders confronted a danger for which no ordinary frontier campaign had prepared them.
The survivors of Lordaeron did not agree on how to resist. The Scarlet Crusade drew strength from fear and anger, promising to drive out the undead and reclaim the land, but increasingly treating suspicion as proof of guilt. Tyr's Hand became part of the Crusade's attempt to preserve an armed human presence in the shattered kingdom.
That choice placed the settlement within the movement that divided Lordaeron's resistance. The Argent Dawn sought allies across faction lines, while the Scarlet leadership closed ranks around its own doctrine of purity. Tyr's Hand inherited the memory of human rule and religious devotion, but its later history was shaped by what those ideals became in the hands of desperate zealots.
