Full History

Satyrnaar's history reaches back to the War of the Ancients, when high elven magic and the ambitions of Queen Azshara opened the way for the Burning Legion. Some night elves became satyrs through the Legion's corruption, turning against the people and forests from which they came. The resulting hatred did not disappear when the Legion was defeated and the world was broken by the Sundering. Ashenvale remained vulnerable to enemies descended from that ancient betrayal.

The satyrs occupied Satyrnaar as one of the sites from which they could sustain their dark rites. The Tower of Althalaxx conspiracy linked their activities to Athrikus Narassin and the Dark Strand. Soul gems holding Highborne spirits were kept under satyr protection, making the settlement part of a network of magic and captivity reaching toward Darkshore. The imprisoned dead had become resources for living cultists seeking power.

When sentinels and their allies investigated the tower, the trail led beyond a single hidden chamber. Satyrnaar offered a reminder that an ancient betrayal could persist as a working alliance between sorcerers and demons. The danger was not merely that old evil had survived, but that each generation could give it new instruments and victims.
