Corin's Crossing belonged to the network of roads and settlements that once connected the farms and towns of eastern Lordaeron. Ordinary traffic across these routes sustained the kingdom before the plague. When the Scourge took hold, those same connections helped carry dread from one settlement to another: the dead could rise in familiar streets and the royal army could no longer promise protection.
Arthas's pursuit of the plague ended not in restored order but in his surrender to Frostmourne. On returning, he murdered his father and helped destroy the kingdom he had sworn to defend. Villages across the Plaguelands fell into the same catastrophe that consumed Stratholme. Corin's Crossing was transformed from a point of passage into part of a region where undead garrisons and ruined communities replaced ordinary provincial life.
Its fate shows why the collapse of Lordaeron was more complete than the fall of one capital. The plague struck at the routes and relationships between towns, making the landscape itself difficult for survivors to reclaim. The roads still connected the old settlements, but those links no longer guaranteed that living people could safely travel them.
