Full History
Shandris Feathermoon's life was shaped by the catastrophe that ended ancient kaldorei civilization. The Burning Legion's arrival shattered the confidence of the empire and forced the night elves to fight for survival. Shandris lost the security of the world she had known, but found guidance with Tyrande Whisperwind as resistance to Azshara's treachery grew. The war drew children, priestesses, druids, soldiers, and ancient guardians into a struggle no single order could survive alone.
After the Well of Eternity was destroyed, the night elves abandoned much of what had sustained the old empire. Their surviving defenders took up a different duty: to guard their people and the forests they had chosen to protect. Shandris rose as a leader within the Sentinels, the martial force directed under Tyrande's authority. That command rested on a hard inheritance, for the night elves had already seen the cost of power pursued without restraint.
The Third War brought foreign armies and demonic forces back to Kalimdor. Once again, the Sentinels faced threats beyond any single settlement, while old suspicions complicated cooperation with the newcomers. Shandris's importance lies in the continuity of that defense. She carried forward the memory of the first invasion while commanding warriors in a world forever changed by the Sundering—and then challenged again at Mount Hyjal.
