Full History
Broxigar crossed through the Legion's portal and struck at Sargeras during the final moments of the War of the Ancients. The orc veteran had been thrown into this distant age alongside Rhonin and Krasus, but his last act placed him directly before the enemy behind the invasion. He died while creating precious time for the defenders trying to end the threat at the Well.
Broxigar's presence in the ancient conflict bridged two very different eras of Warcraft history. He came from the world after the Third War, where orcs had known both service to demons and the effort to escape that bondage. Among the kaldorei resistance, he fought not for any future Horde victory but against the same Legion that had menaced so many peoples. His final stand turned an individual warrior's sacrifice into part of the world's survival.
The defenders ultimately prevented Sargeras from entering Azeroth, though the Well's destruction caused the Sundering. Broxigar did not return to witness that outcome. His death is remembered in the original War of the Ancients novels as one of the extraordinary losses of a war whose ancient survivors would carry its consequences into the age of humans, orcs, and the rebuilt Horde.
