Full History

Sargeron belonged to an older world than the centaur wars that later shaped Desolace. Night-elven civilization had once spread across ancient Kalimdor, raising settlements and sanctuaries that did not all survive the Sundering. When the Well of Eternity collapsed, the land itself was transformed, and many former centers of life were left isolated or ruined.

Sargeron's remains became one such remnant. The passage of ages did not bring a thriving city back to its broken stonework. Instead, satyrs and demonic influences came to occupy the ruins, turning what had once been part of a kaldorei landscape toward hostile purposes. Their presence tied an ancient architectural loss to the continuing danger of the Legion's corruption.

The ruins do not preserve a known list of rulers or a documented account of their founding. Their history is the larger tragedy written into their stones: an imperial civilization broke apart, its places outlived its people, and powers hostile to the survivors found shelter in what remained. That is enough to explain their place in Desolace without inventing a vanished dynasty.
