Full History
The goblins of the Steamwheedle Cartel established Everlook high in Winterspring, a land far removed from the warm ports where most merchants preferred to bargain. Its position along the region's routes allowed the cartel to extend its trade into northern Kalimdor, where isolation made supplies, transport, and an established place of exchange unusually valuable.
Everlook's rise followed the goblins' familiar calculation: trade need not wait for peace or comfortable conditions. The town welcomed customers with interests that did not always agree, while its merchants worked amid the tensions of the surrounding wilderness. Nearby kaldorei ruins and the presence of the blue dragonflight in Winterspring belonged to histories much older than the goblin outpost. The newcomers did not create those legacies, but their traffic brought outsiders into contact with them.
The settlement also marked the northern reach of the cartel's commercial network. Even in a region of ancient magic and contested approaches to Mount Hyjal, the goblins saw the value of a reliable market. Everlook endured as the result of merchants choosing opportunity in a place where most travelers would have seen only hardship.
