Quick Overview

A submerged troll city off Stranglethorn Vale has risen from the sea in WoW: Forever. Its exposed streets suggest an older settlement lost beneath the coast, but its precise ancient name and the circumstances of its sinking are not yet securely documented. Naga and pirates occupy the new adventure's surrounding conflict. The dungeon belongs to Forever's added history and must not be confused with Zul'Gurub or the earlier Gurubashi capital.

Full History

The coasts of Stranglethorn preserve the long afterlife of the troll empires. Gurubashi influence once spread across the southern continent, and old ruins still stand under jungle growth while ships ply dangerous waters beyond the headlands. That heritage makes the appearance of another troll city plausible within the landscape, but plausibility alone cannot identify its rulers or place its destruction on a dated timeline. In the new Forever story, structures once hidden by the sea have emerged and opened streets that were inaccessible for generations.

Their exposure draws opportunists as surely as historians. Pirates who already know the trade routes of Stranglethorn covet new treasure and protected anchorages; naga have their own interest in ancient and sea-bound ruins. The dungeon is therefore not simply a quiet archaeological walk. It takes place at the intersection of an old troll mystery and living coastal conflict, where three peoples may read very different meanings into the same carved stone and drowned avenues.

The official announcement identifies the general location off the western coast and describes ancient troll ruins newly risen from the water. It does not supply a verified foundation date, an ancient ruler, or a complete sequence of events. The narrative intentionally keeps those facts unresolved. Readers can navigate toward Stranglethorn Vale and the Gurubashi story, while the new city's exact provenance remains a research task for the game's in-instance text.
