Full History
Renault Mograine rose to command within the Scarlet Crusade, the militant order formed in the ruin of Lordaeron. From Scarlet Monastery, he helped embody a movement that treated the undead as enemies and increasingly distrusted outsiders. His name also carried the burden of the Mograine family and the legendary Ashbringer. In the original World of Warcraft, the monastery remained an active stronghold of the Crusade rather than a completed chapter of its downfall.
Survivors of the Scourge turn their defense of the living into fanaticism. The Scarlet Crusade remains a dangerous force at the starting state. The former monastery serves as the Crusade’s stronghold. Its commanders are available original-era dungeon encounters, not already slain characters. Monastery and faction remain active when the original WoW player arrives.
