Full History

Executor Zygand directed Forsaken operations against the Scarlet Crusade in Tirisfal, where the struggle for Lordaeron's remains continued after the fall of the Scourge's first great offensives. His assignments focused on armed Scarlet positions threatening the Forsaken. The frontier was not a fixed border between two settled kingdoms. It was a series of hostile posts and uneasy roads in a land neither side had fully secured.

The Scarlet Crusade emerged from the destruction of the human north with a fierce determination to eliminate undead threats. The Forsaken, many of whom had once been Lordaeron's own inhabitants, faced the Crusade as enemies despite having broken free of the Lich King. Zygand's orders belong to that bitter conflict. They show organized Forsaken resistance and continuing Scarlet encampments rather than a completed victory for either force.

The original quest chain gives objectives to adventurers. A chronicle should not translate those objectives into unrecorded deaths or the permanent disappearance of the Scarlet garrisons. What is certain is the hostility that shaped the border of the Forsaken's early homeland. Zygand's role shows the new state defending itself against human militants who refused to distinguish free undead from the Scourge.
