The Amani alliance with the Horde grew from Zul’jin’s immediate aim of striking Quel’Thalas. It did not revive the ancient Zandalari coalition against the aqir: the orcish Horde and the forest trolls had different objectives, and their partnership collapsed. The separation of these episodes helps readers understand the persistence of territorial conflict without inventing an unbroken troll imperial command structure.
