Full History
The Thorium Brotherhood consists of smiths associated with Dark Iron traditions who work outside the main power of the Firelord's clan. Their independence creates a distinction between craft identity and political obedience. In the original World of Warcraft period, their existence does not mean every later outpost or service is already present from the game's opening day.
Blackrock Mountain had become a center of fire, mining, and powerful forgework after Ragnaros's summoning. Dark Iron expertise therefore developed under conditions that tied unusual materials and dangerous places to the clan's survival. Independent smiths could inherit techniques without sharing every loyalty of the imperial court in Shadowforge. The Brotherhood's separate identity shows that the Dark Irons were not a single body of interchangeable servants.
The available early history establishes the organization more firmly than a detailed account of its founding. Thorium Point's familiar game hub belongs to patch 1.5 rather than the original patch 1.1 starting state, so its later in-game presence must not be projected backward as an already operating settlement. The Brotherhood's history should remain carefully bounded where the evidence is thin, while retaining its meaningful difference from Dagran's Dark Iron rule.
