The shen’dorei survived for millennia because their floating island remained anchored and sustained by wind spirits. Trade, craft and the preservation of traditions carried that society from a desperate refuge into a functioning homeland.
Valanaar’s markets show that the Skyborne are more than a faction divided by magic and faith. Yet the present crisis threatens the institutions of normal life as surely as it endangers their island’s pylons.
