Full History
The Harborage was a refuge in the Swamp of Sorrows associated with the Broken, a people descended from the draenei whose lives had been disrupted by the wars of Draenor. When the orcish Horde embraced demonic power, the draenei were driven from their homes and suffered terrible losses. Those who survived in altered bodies carried the memory of that destruction into a world divided by the orcs' invasion.
Outland's shattered history reached Azeroth through the Dark Portal and the campaigns fought on both sides of it. Not every survivor could return to a lost homeland, and some struggled to live beyond the authority of the orcish clans that had destroyed their communities. In the swamps, a small settlement offered refuge to people whose appearance set them apart even from those who knew the old conflicts.
The Harborage grew from displacement rather than conquest. Its history connects a quiet camp in Azeroth to the destruction of draenei society on Draenor. The people who sheltered there had endured the consequences of the Horde's transformation long before the human kingdoms understood the danger crossing the portal.
