Full History

Hive’Zora is one of the major silithid colonies in Silithus. Its underground network belongs to the same insectoid threat that once challenged night elves and dragons during the War of the Shifting Sands.

When the gates of Ahn’Qiraj were sealed, the wider silithid presence was not extinguished. Colonies continued to thrive in the desert, extending tunnels through remote ground and menacing travelers and scouts.

The hive demonstrates that sealing an ancient enemy is different from eliminating every part of its power. Its occupants are connected to southern Azeroth’s older military and ecological history, even before later raid campaigns open the city itself.
