Full History

Hive’Ashi is a silithid colony in the sands of Silithus, one of several large networks occupied by the descendants and servants of the ancient qiraji threat. Its entrances conceal a much larger organized population underground.

The War of the Shifting Sands culminated in the sealing of Ahn’Qiraj, but left scattered hives active throughout the southern desert. Their presence threatened those who attempted to cross or study the region.

The hive is an enduring symptom of a war that could be contained without being completely ended. At original patch 1.1 it exists in a world where Ahn’Qiraj’s later playable campaign has not yet begun.
