Full History

Thrall and Jaina Proudmoore reached the Stonetalon oracle seeking answers during the escalating war on Kalimdor. There they encountered Medivh, who revealed the Burning Legion as a danger to them both. The prophet urged cooperation between peoples that had spent generations fighting. His warning gave their separate migrations a shared purpose and prepared the way for the defense of Mount Hyjal.

Thrall's orcs had crossed the sea to seek freedom and a homeland, while Jaina's refugees fled the collapse of Lordaeron. Neither group had forgotten the wars between human and orc armies. Meeting at the oracle forced their leaders to weigh those memories against the scale of the approaching threat. Medivh's intervention did not instantly erase distrust, but it established why neither side could hope to prevail alone against the Legion.

The original Warcraft III campaign follows this difficult cooperation toward the final stand in Ashenvale and at Nordrassil. The oracle's warning is therefore a turning point rather than an isolated prophecy. Thrall and Jaina had to choose whether the survival of their people mattered more than inherited enmity. The alliance formed under that pressure helped save a world whose greatest enemy had already destroyed old kingdoms and forests.
